Pumpkin Pumpkin Reviews
This is a very nice story to use with a pumpkin thematic unit. Perfect for ages 4-6. Illustrations are nice. Written in a simple manner where even a preK student will comprehend this.
Althought this book has few words, it's wonderful to teach the life cycle of a pumpkin. This is a great book to teach that pictures sometimes tell more of the story than the words. The seed, sprouts, the sprout grows into a plant and gets bigger on each page. The words don't tell this, but the pictures do. Students are engaged as they search for changes in a pumpkin's life cycle. The pictures are a bit muted, but I still love the book for its simplicity. We give each student six pumpkin seeds to take home and plant in the Spring, just as the main character does. They can continue their own pumpkin's life cycle. Fun and engaging.
bought as gift for great nephew who loves pumpkins. He enjoys it.
I love this book and so does my 3 - 6 year old preschool class. What a sweet story and science lesson.
One of the most beautifully illustrated books I have purchased or read to my children.
Perfect for homeschool needs.
